Historically Beeswax candles were used by the wealthier members in society. They do not gutter down the side of the candle and do not smoke as long as the wick is trimmed periodically and the candle is in still air.
These candles are made the traditional way and contains 100% natural beeswax which will give a gentle aroma of honey when being burnt. They are made and sold as a pair.
They are made with cotton wick which was popular from approx. 17th century until the modern wick was invented in the 1830's.
