Historically Beeswax candles were used by the wealthier members of society. They do not gutter down the side of the candle and it is rare for these candles to smoke as long as the wick is trimmed periodically.
These candles are made using the traditional method. They are made of 100% natural beeswax and will give off a gentle aroma of honey as they are being burnt. They are made and sold as a pair.
These candles contain flax wick which are historically the oldest wick used. Flax wick was used for many centuries but saw its demise around the 1830's in favour of the "modern" wick. The wick will need to be trimmed periodically to maintain a good flame.
